The six kilometer long peninsula, which is Europe’s second most southerly point, is connected to Spain by a 1.5 kilometre of sand on which stands the airport.

As the Atlantic washes into the Mediterranean the varied marine life in this area is diverse, from dolphins to turtles you will need to keep your cameras ready for that not to be missed photograph.
